Lorton

Just south of Alexandria, the neighborhood of Lorton has seen increasing growth over the last few years due to its well planned neighborhoods and convenient access to Washington DC. Though only 5.4 square miles, Lorton is home to an expanding number of new homes, shops and restaurants, and an Amtrak/VRE station. The former Lorton Reformatory is currently being transformed into Liberty Center, a development that will host both residential homes and retail.
